Dear Friends:
This has been a very difficult year for the Ringel family. When Harrison was diagnosed with
Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia November 21, 2008, we never imagined how harrowing this ride,
the ride of his life, would be. Through the support and help of so many, we have gotten to where
we are now. Harrison is finishing up the intense part of his treatment and has been in remission,
since right before Christmas. Thanks to so many friends, and as well so many organizations
dedicated to helping children and families like ours, we have endured the worst, and are now
looking forward!
We have received so much from so many, and have thought about how we can give back.
Especially helpful, with literature, educational opportunities and some financial assistance, is the
Central Ohio Chapter of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. We have decided to give back, by
organizing a benefit race, in Harrison’s name to benefit the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. In
addition to the motorcycle racing, we will have bicycle races by age group, go-kart rentals, fun
things for the kids, concessions, etc.
September 12, 2009, we will hold the first annual race, in Harrison’s name, at Circleville
Raceway Park in Circleville, Ohio. As part of our efforts, we are having event T-shirts made to
commemorate this special event, which will be pre-sold and sold at the event. To help defray the
cost of this endeavor, we are seeking sponsorship. For a $100 donation, your name and/or logo
will appear on the back of the T-Shirt. Time and space are limited, so please help us raise funds,
in the name of our son, for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society by sending us a $100 check,
payable to “Harrison Benefit Race” and your company logo/business card, etc. and we will have
it placed on the T-shirt. Please note that only donations paid directly to the Leukemia &
Lymphoma Society are tax deductible. Though all funds raised will benefit the Leukemia &
Lymphoma Society, the “Harrison Benefit Race” donations are not tax deductible.
Thanks for supporting us, and helping us raise funds in Harrison’s name!
Sincerely,
Paul and Ginny Ringel
The Ringel Family
