Help from flattrack experts (Troy)?

Postby lucky13 on Mon Sep 28, 2009 4:13 pm

So if I understand correctly, the flat track race at Richwood for October 10-11 has been moved to Marion, OH.

I'd like to race Saturday at Circlejerk, camp overnight at Circlejerk, and then drive up to spectate at Marion on Sunday (Practice at 11:00; racing starts at 12:00).

That works, right?

Seth
I do miss the mini racing, but only because its fun and you wont meet a better group of people anywhere.I am not sure what it is that you can teach Tyler on a kart track that he can apply to the big tracks.Tyler was able to turn 51's at Circleville three years ago. What kind of times are being turned today? If you guys have a knobby class for stock xr100's I will make sure Tyler is there and I will put up $100.00 for the winner.

Grasshopper,
Give it a rest. The kid has moved on. You want to race Tyler you will need a 125 and a license. I'm sure you will do fine against him when you get the chance. Worry about the two old guys that are gonna whip you on the 10th :P JK

Damn right you are not old.
Sorry if anyone felt slighted by my senile outburst.

Anyway Seth, it looks like they are lining up to get a shot at you on the 10th.

For the right price I'll be glad to borrow a ride for F1 and block whomever you'd like when the group comes up to lap me. Just sayin'.....$100 is $100.

Back on topic.....Max and I will DEFINITELY be there provided it doesn't get rained-out. After Indy all I've been able to think/read about is flat track.

I really appreciate your offer of the XR100 and I'd LOVE to take you up on it but I'm afraid that I'd just get in people's way. The embarrassment and humiliation I'm used to and can deal with but I wouldn't want to mess-up others. I know you'll be busy but maybe I can pick your brain for a few minutes at some point on Sunday about how a person could get started on something like an XR100, how many events are within the area, etc. I can't wait to see Tyler on the 1/2 mile!!!

HAHA... I knew I forgot someone! But, to be honest here.. you don't look that "old". I'd even have to toss out JR's name in that one since he might be younger then you? JR just looks older then you and I... we both look younger then we really are. Either way, I say we all just gang up on him this weekend!

Matt
They just changed the Marion race back to the Richwood co. Fairgrounds. Same start times and date as Marion. Richwood is very close to Marion. It was going to be at Richwood to begin with but the last race the fair board got pissed off because of pit riding and camp fires.I guess they had a change of heart,so there is norace at Marion it is nowback to Richwood.

Did I hear this right... is there flat track racing somewhere in Ohio with an XR100 class? I've been looking for this!

There is alot of flattrack races in Ohio that xr100's can run in. The best one is a short track in Galion OH. http://www.sunsetramblers.com
This class will have 15 to 20 riders must of the time. You can also run the 1/2 miles ,but they are not as much fun as the short track on a xr100.
