RACE DAY SCHEDULE OF EVENTS!

Postby fireman_343 » Thu Apr 15, 2010 12:24 pm

Okay, I've been getting bombarded with questions about what time does practice start, what time does the gate open, etc... I'm sorry I should have had this up sooner, but I've been busy with some personal things as well as trying to get the bike in order for the races.

So, here is a rough draft of what the schedule is like for race days. We all know this would be in a perfect world, I would LOVE to keep to this schedule, but things come up and change come race day. Please use this as a guide line to follow and if you have any questions, please email me at: rdracer4@hotmail.com

Thanks

For races at CRP, the gate fee is $8.00 per person (I believe kids under 5 are free, but don't quote me on that)
Races at BeaveRun, the gate is $5.00 per person

7 am - Gates Open
8 am - Sign Up and Tech Open
8:50am - Quick meeting to go over track rules, safety, flags, etc.. for beginners
9 am - Beginner/Novice Practice Begins
9:30 am - Beginner/Novice Practice Ends
9:31 am - Expert Practice Begins
10 am - Expert Practice Ends
10 am - Sign Up and Tech Close
10:01 am - Open Practice Begins (all groups, all riders)
10:30 am - Open Practice Ends
10:45 am - MANDATORY Rider's Meeting
11 am - Racing Starts

After first round of races, we have a short 15-20 min break then the 2nd round of races start.
Racing normally ends around 4:30-5pm... some days are shorter, some are longer. It just depends on how many people show up to race.

I'll be sure to print a copy of this and remind you of where we should be according to the schedule. Or better yet, give a copy to Max and let him remind everyone with assistance from his bull horn..

What is the schedule for PIRC? It shows as two days and I need to get planning to make sure I can be there.

Practice Sat from 2-8p (PIRC's event, not ours) and then our race is on Sunday (normal times as always)
Camping, showers available at the track. Food is close by at the gas station or subway. If u don't want to camp, the holiday inn is close as well as a few other motels
Hope to see everyone there.
